K&N Wine Company is an Indiana-based wine importer and distributor focused on small-production, family-owned producers — predominantly French, with one foot in the Pacific Northwest. The portfolio runs classical: Bordeaux at the core, with wines from Burgundy, the Rhône, Provence, and Champagne, Spain, and Slovenia rounding it out. Every selection is direct — either imported by K&N or brought in through carefully chosen partners.
K&N is woman-owned and operated. The approach is independent, relationship-based, and while we could not be more serious about the wine, we don’t take ourselves too seriously.
it started in bordeaux
A note from Rachael Harcourt, founder.
I've always been drawn to the art of making people feel welcome — it's what pulled me into hospitality and kept me there through years of running food and beverage operations, directing events, and building guest experiences from the ground up. Along the way, wine became more than a category to manage. It became a genuine obsession. I was drawn to the places wine comes from, the families who make it, and the way a good bottle can make a table feel like somewhere worth staying.
The decision to start K&N came into focus on a trip to Bordeaux. We booked a stay at Château L'Étampe — the estate belonging to the Teycheney family of Fleur de Lisse — through a listing that turned out to wildly undersell it. The house had just been fully renovated. We were the first guests. I spent my days checking the vines ahead of harvest, wandering the markets in Saint-Émilion, and being looked after by the Fleur de Lisse team in a way I haven't forgotten. Fleur de Lisse had no U.S. representation. I thought: how hard could it be?
K&N launched with Fleur de Lisse in the portfolio. It has grown from there — always with the same instinct behind it. Wine is more interesting when you know the story. The place, the producers, the people: that's what I bring to every account I work with.
